# How to Install Apache NetBeans 12.0

1. Follow the instructions for [How to Install OpenJDK 11](/asu-java/install/how-to-install-openjdk-11.md).
2. Go to the downloading [Apache NetBeans 12.0 website](https://netbeans.apache.org/download/nb120/nb120.html).
3. Under **Installers,** click on the link that corresponds to your operating system to download the installer.
4. Download the installer to your desktop.
5. Double click on the icon for the installer.
6. If you are running MacOS you will need to double click on the package file that pops up to run the installer.
7. Follow all of the installer instructions.
